DeltaBlock – Another patented technology that ensures that only the changed block data is backed up. No file can be backed up as a full file again. Administrators can define the number of delta versions of data required to be stored.

Both the above along with data compression and encryption work at the desktop/laptop level. This helps to reduce the amount of data that needs to travel across the network. Even at the time of restore, data gets decrypted and decompressed at the desktop only to ensure it needs less network bandwidth.
