Ace Data appointed ASN partner for EMC

EMC has upgraded Ace Data to be its Authorized Service Network Partner. Ace Data will offer deployment, troubleshooting, and post-sales services to EMC's customers in the northern region.

Praveen Sahai, Head - Marketing & Corporate Affairs, EMC India said, "Ace Data has been has been designing and deploying solutions at customer premises as EMC's partner for six years. It has an experienced team to manage more complex deployments."

Sahai informs, "ASN partner not only adds money but also adds value to the customers and support their infrastructures." To be an ASN partner, a company needs to have understanding of storage and backup technologies and some level of accreditation. In addition, they have to impart product and technology training to their employees. "A partner has to attend the ASN partner program and appear for a test conducted by Prometric to become an ASN partner," he adds.

Neeraj Mediratta, Managing Director, Ace Data Devices said, "In our new role we will assist in smooth functioning of the system and ensure that data is available at the time of disaster to the customer who have chosen EMC technology like data recovery and disaster recovery solutions."

Ace Data started as reseller for EMC when the company entered in the Indian market. Currently Ace Data has around eight EMC certified employees and does around 8-10 deployments in a month for the vendor.

EMC has products for backup, ease of archival of data, disk archival software. Ace Data will help the customers integrate backup software with their existing systems and centrally manage the data center backup, to ensure information protection for the customers.

Ace Data focuses on verticals like telecom, IT, BPO, and manufacturing. Currently it is present in northern region only but plans to expand to South India in the near future. As the first step, it has opened its sales office in Bangalore and plans to open an office in Hyderabad by the end of this year.
